Ewan McGregor ditches ITV show because he can’t stand Piers Morgan
Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. And choose not to go on ITV’s Good Morning Britain after Ewan McGregor objected to presenter Piers Morgan’s comments about the Women’s March.
The Trainspotting star tweeted to say he would not be going on the show because of Morgan, prompting the present to respond that the star was “just an actor”.
We only hope they can find a convenient time to meet up and settle this face to face.
Was going on Good Morning Britain, didn't realise @piersmorgan was host. Won't go on with him after his comments about #WomensMarch

Sorry to hear that @mcgregor_ewan – you should be big enough to allow people different political opinions. You’re just an actor after all.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 24, 2017
McGregor had plenty of support on Twitter, but not everyone was sympathetic. Just nearly everyone.
Piers Morgan says Ewan McGregor is *just* an actor.
That's unfair, Piers.
That's like saying you're *just* a phone hacking piece of scum.— Amanda (@Pandamoanimum) January 24, 2017
More celebrities should follow Ewan McGregor's example and boycott #GoodMorningBritain because of that odious turd Piers Morgan.

Choose a life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose to tell Piers Morgan to go fck himself #ewanmcgregor

And there’s more.
.@piersmorgan “You should be big enough to allow people different political opinions,” vents the man who said this: https://t.co/keBtk40Eei

There are far better ways to challenge Trump than marching around in pink pussy hats. https://t.co/xFExBxPhLp

@mcgregor_ewan let’s get this right. You can kick the shit out of Darth Vader, but run scared of @piersmorgan. You are supposed to be a Jedi
— Lee Roberts (@MrLeeRoberts) January 24, 2017
@mcgregor_ewan You couldn’t have just gone on the show to say he’s a wank? @piersmorgan
— Dawn (@justanotherdawn) January 24, 2017
@justanotherdawn @mcgregor_ewan @piersmorgan He doesn’t need to – we already know he’s a total tosser

McGregor tweeted in support of the Women’s March on Saturday.
I'm with you in spirit today women of the world. My daughters are marching. I'm so proud to see this extraordinary power.
— Ewan McGregor (@mcgregor_ewan) January 21, 2017
Morgan has been rather less complementary – and his suggestion for a “Men’s March” went down about as well as you would think.
UPDATE: Morgan later had his say with a long-winded rant about McGregor in his latest Daily Hate column, in which he branded the actor a “child rapist-loving hypocrite [who] holds you in utter contempt”.
***NEW COLUMN***
Women's rights hero Ewan McGregor is a child rapist loving hypocrite who hates free speech.https://t.co/JzM8ikcIJp pic.twitter.com/Eb2B0TVfez— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 24, 2017
Unfortunately for Morgan, he linked to the wrong @mcgregor on Twitter, unintentionally directed his ire at a Baptist Church in Florida, prompting lots of hilarity about his journalistic standards.
@piersmorgan @mcgregor I love how you've tweeted some random baptist church

It later turned out that actor Patrick Stewart – Jean-Luc Picard himself – is no fan of Morgan either.
Bravo Ewan. Standing right there with you. https://t.co/1agL2lwVyq
— Patrick Stewart (@SirPatStew) January 24, 2017
Ewan, it’s over to you.
