Boris Johnson’s interview with Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain has been making no end of headlines today and one of them was the sign-off when he appeared not to know who Lorraine Kelly is.

And lots of people were concerned it didn’t detract from what was surely the most telling part of Johnson’s interview.
It’s embarrassing that Boris Johnson doesn’t know who Lorraine Kelly is.
But it’s atrocious that he had no answer to 77 year old Elsie who rides around on buses all day to keep warm because she can’t afford the heating bills.
That’s the real scandal here.
