Jacob Rees-Mogg described postponed Brexit measures as ‘an act of self-harm’ and there’s not enough facepalm in the world

A Get Brexit Done update: Detailed checks on food entering the UK which were to have been introduced in July have been pushed back again – this time to 2023.

‘Let’s take back control of our borders.’ blah, blah, blah – *whispers* unless it means allowing overseas fresh goods through while UK goods are still subject to stringent checks on entering the EU.

Jacob Rees-Mogg may not quite have said that but the Minister for Brexit Opportunities and Government Efficiency did make a statement, and it had Remain campaigners’ heads spinning.

Come now, Jacob. Surely that’s just Project Fear.
