This unreal ‘Real Daily Briefing’ hilariously explains why the PM didn’t know he was at a party

As Boris Johnson hides out in India, media attention is very squarely on the decision of parliament to subject him to yet another investigation.

The Privileges Committee will determine whether he was misleading the House of Commons when he said all guidelines had been followed during gatherings in Downing Street.

Comedy duo Larry and Paul have used their Real Daily Briefing – which is weekly and arguably not real – to issue an apology almost as sincere as the one offered by the PM himself.

Repeating endlessly that just because there was cake and sausages and vol-au-vents and party hats and those little cheese and pineapple foil hedgehogs and a conga to Agadoo and the Prime Minister drinking vodka shots from an ice-sculpture shaped into a huge dong with his tie around his head and his top off like a shit Rambo, and many people standing around saying “This is a nice party isn’t it?”, he couldn’t possibly have known it was a party.

It’s so close to the genuine argument made by several Johnson allies that it almost veers into tragedy.

People appreciated Larry and Paul’s insight.

Nice to see the scientist back and not being removed by security for a change.
