A Tory MP ‘supported’ the PM by comparing him to a serial killer -12 deadly takedowns

In case you missed it, Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons on Wednesday was quite the drama.

A Conservative MP, Christian Wakeford, crossed the floor to join Labour, seating himself just behind Keir Starmer at the start of proceedings. Boris Johnson failed to address Partygate in any acceptable way, but deflected by announcing the effective end of most Covid measures. And David Davis stood up and told Johnson to resign.

As the Speaker was caught saying –

Despite the words of David Davis, Johnson clearly had a great many supporters – at least for the time being.

The Tory MP for Cleethorpes, Martin Vickers, explained why angry MPs should pause their calls for the PM to leave, by *checks notes* comparing him to a serial killer.

“Thanks for the lifebuoy, Martin. Is it supposed to be made of concrete?”
