Even the Mary Rose just owned Boris Johnson – surely he’s sunk now

There must be a point in the widespread mockery of Boris Johnson and his various ‘Partygate’ excuses that it reaches the point of no return for the beleaguered PM.

We’re not entirely sure when it will be, but this must be something close to it, after the so-called prime minister tried to excuse his attendance at that boozy Downing Street garden party by saying no-one told him it broke the rules.

And this is what the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth – @MaryRoseMuseum – had to say about that on Twitter.

Surely he’s been hit below the water line now. Hasn’t he?

The favourite ship of King Henry VIII, the Mary Rose sank off the south coast of England in 1545 and is now #Portsmouth’s top visitor attraction on TripAdvisor. We know this because it says so on the @MaryRoseMuseum Twitter account.

One thing’s for sure, it’s even more popular now and here are our favourite things people said about it.
