Edwina Currie named ‘two fingers to Brussels’ as a tangible benefit of Brexit
Rumours of Brexit’s enormous success have been greatly exaggerated by the usual suspects, but the true picture is less than rosy.
America just dropped tariffs on steel & aluminium produced in the EU, while still charging 25% on UK steel.
So if you voted Brexit so we could do better trade with America, and ignored the warnings that we'd be at the back of the queue… Well f***ing done, mate. Well done!

Former Tory MP and salmonella eggspert, Edwina Currie, didn’t vote for Brexit, but she’s certainly embraced the cognitive dissonance that allows people to describe it in glowing terms.
Like so many before her, when challenged to name any tangible benefits of the UK’s exit from the EU, she – er – didn’t. She did, however, have some non-tangible claims to suggest to LBC’s Matt Frei.
