Liz Truss’ early Christmas message looks like a bid for power – 19 funny responses
Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss, has just come back from hosting G7 ministers in Liverpool, as the UK ends its year acting as president of the group.
We’re not sure whether the responsibility went to her head, but she certainly tried to present a statesmanlike air in this astonishingly early Christmas message.
With a leadership challenge absolutely on Tory Party cards in the relative short term, do visions of Downing Street dance in her head? And if so, do cheese and wine feature strongly – or just pork markets?
