As lots of people have commented on Reddit, it’s like something out of a TV show like Better Call Saul. In fact, it’s even more Saul Goodman than Saul Goodman.

Chances are you didn’t come here for legal advice – whyever not? – but just to say we’re not condoning or condemning or indeed recommending anything this pair has to say.
But if you really are in need of legal advice, there was also this.
‘These guys attended Western State College of Law in Southern California. While it is ABA accredited, i.e., it’s not a rinky-dink clown school, it’s not highly ranked.
‘As an attorney in CA myself, this type of statement is very risky and stupid. The advice they are providing is sound, you should never answer any questions police ask you (one exception discussed below), but the way they are providing it by referencing “illegal” dispensaries makes it borderline a legal ethics violation.
‘The exception to the rule: If you are pulled over for a traffic violation or suspected DUI, when they ask you if you know why you’ve been pulled over or if you have had anything to drink, you say NO. Don’t apologize, don’t give excuses, just say no, follow their directions, and shut up.
‘If they continue asking questions, ask them if you are being detained, if they say yes, tell them you want to speak to your lawyer (doesn’t matter if you have one), at that point they cannot continue questioning.’ Ap0llo
