A cheeky woman resorted to insults when someone wouldn’t lend her a dress

There are plenty of times when good friends might share, gift or swap outfits, and that’s a great way for people to expand their wardrobes cost-free, but when this woman tried to get access to someone’s clothes, it started badly and went downhill.

The request sounded reasonable enough – at the very beginning.

It’s a well-known tactic to call someone rude before asking for something different – probably has a hundred per cent success rate.

Some people just can’t take a hint.

That woman has the patience of a saint. We can only hope foul-mouthed Cinderella ended up swerving the party due to having nothing to wear.

When u/TheBreakUp2013 shared his wife’s screenshots, people were incensed on her behalf.

Does this ever work? Are there people who get abused like this and relent?

Not only would I not lend this twat a pencil much less a dress, but I would no longer consider us on speaking terms or friends at any level after one conversation like this.

I wanted her to reply to the “Are u saying I’m fat” like YES YES YOU ARE

Definitely NOT her friend in any way, shape or form. I found a formal dress at Ross for 8.99 this Sunday. She needs to buy her own stuff!

One person had another wedding-related story, featuring similar levels of shamelessness.

You might want to keep your suitcase locked.

“Yes. Yes you’re a fat land whale and after you calling me a c word I’m not lending you a darn thing and I’m sending all the screenshots to the bride and asking for her advice”

It seems wedding-related things bring the shameless scroungers out of the woodwork.

This reminds me of my friend’s wedding a few years back. She took a break from the reception to go downstairs and eat something with her new husband and I went down too to see if they needed anything.

Shortly after we get down there, a former coworker and his fiancee show up and tell the bride how beautiful she is in her wedding dress. Then they tell us about their upcoming wedding. THEN they ask if they could borrow her wedding dress for their wedding, which I don’t believe she was even invited to
