‘James O’Brien Is A W*nker’ Day backfired massively – 14 unexpected tributes
Since the EU referendum, LBC presenter James O’Brien has been calmly analysing claims by both sides of the argument and finding one lot more lacking than the other; spoiler alert – it’s not Remain.
He can often be heard driving Brexiters to incandescence simply by asking them to name one actual benefit of leaving the EU, or even to specify one law imposed by the EU.
It’s doubtless because of this that someone has designated his birthday – 13th of January – ‘James O’Brien is a Wanker Day’ on Twitter, and the man himself leant into it.
Happy #JamesOBrienIsAWankerDay! I can’t believe I’ve achieved this lofty status. If I had an agent I’d give them a pay-rise!

Needless to say, the hashtag has been heavily hijacked by his admirers, with a lot of these kinds of posts.
Adult babies have declared this #jamesobrienisawankerday I see. It’s the grown-up equivalent of shitting yourself, smearing it on a wall and giggling at your work. Enjoy it you cheeky little monkeys!

How are you going to celebrate #jamesobrienisawankerday?
Think I’m gonna spend it listening to O’Brien asking frothy-mouthed fucking dickheads simple but pertinent questions they’re unable to answer until they hang up in embarrassment that they’ve been bested by such a ‘wanker’.

This hashtag just makes me like him more. He’s really getting to you precious boomerflakes… salty boomer tears blah blah waffle waffle. Maybe it’s because he is one of the few journalists that calls you all out on your bullshit. #jamesobrienisawankerday
