Kudos to this former MP for updating his bar chart after losing the election
A lot of people were shocked by the Tory landslide in the general election, including former MPs who lost their constituencies to challengers.
The former MP for Luton South, Independent candidate Gavin Shuker, had even shared an election leaflet implying he was a shoo-in, although not everybody was convinced or impressed.

But with a sense of humour many would have had trouble summoning under the same circumstances, after falling to third place behind Labour and the Conservatives, he edited the graph to reflect the result.

His self deprecation went down a lot better than his manifesto had.
Gavin Shuker, a defeated MP for Luton Douth has updated his graph to reflect the loss! Fair play 😂 👇👇 https://t.co/DB0D4YCxEf

I didn't agree with your politics but handling defeat with grace and humour – I have a lot of respect for that.

If you were wondering what an MP might do after losing their seat, there was another update.
Made some flat-pack.
