Nish Kumar had the perfect response after a charity gig didn’t go entirely to plan
You might have seen by now how comedian Nish Kumar didn’t go down entirely well at the Lord’s Taverners annual charity cricket lunch.
It was all going swimmingly, by all accounts, until he made jokes about Brexit and former Commons speaker John Bercow (who was in the audience) and then this happened.

Booed and pelted with bread, here are some of the things people had to say about it today.

Nish Kumar should have known better than to do a Brexit gag at the AGM of the Privileged White Fuckwit Society. pic.twitter.com/xGaM2vXNX7

Nish Kumar has angered loads of right wing gammons, boomers, and even Piers Morgan. Good work fella. That is a job well done. As the saying goes "If you can't laugh at yourself you're missing the biggest joke in town."

But the best response came from Nish Kumar himself.
In my defence, it was only one bread roll and it missed me

And it didn’t end there.
I did a corporate event for similar types, who threw a runner bean at me. I said ‘that’s why you’re awash with wealth and people like nurses are skint, because you have the talent to throw a runner bean’. The bloke who threw it shouted ‘it’s not a runner bean, it’s a mange tout’
