Anti-vaxxers don’t want to be called anti-vaxxers anymore – only 5 replies you need
Anti-vaxxers are fed up with being called anti-vaxxers and would like to be called something else. We know this because they said so on Twitter.
Specifically, these people did (and if you’re wondering who ‘Crazymothers’ are they spend their time ‘working to spread vaccine injury and recovery awareness-one Crazymother at a time.’)
Dear Media,
Please retire the use of the term “Anti-vaxxer.” It is derogatory, inflammatory, and marginalizes both women and their experiences. It is dismissivemy simplistic, highly offensive and largely false. We politely request that you refer to us as the Vaccine Risk Aware. pic.twitter.com/WtAyFOhLuv— Crazymothers (@Crazymothers1) December 1, 2019
Except we’re not sure ‘vaccine risk aware’ is quite accurate. Isn’t that everyone else?
There was no shortage of responses as you might imagine, but if you only have time for 5, then these pretty much nail it.

We will continue to refer to you as the Mass Graves Full Of Dead Children Enthusiasts, but thank you for your suggestion.

You think Anti-Vaxxer is inflammatory? Wait until you try Measles. https://t.co/oPxy6xZiiR

“Pro-plague” Is that better? I think it’s very accurate

And just in case anyone’s in any doubt.
Vaccine risk biased. No vaccine is without risk, but the risk of a severe reaction is vanishingly small:https://t.co/dXtUGPtckG
There is no link with autism https://t.co/Gfz5H5O6Qt
