Piers Morgan just schooled Nicky Morgan and people are shocked to find themselves cheering him

When Boris Johnson launched the Conservatives’ general election manifesto at the weekend it included a pledge to recruit 50,000 more nurses.

Except it turned out that 19,000 of these nurses are already employed by the NHS.

So it was only natural that Piers Morgan and his co-host Susanna Reid should bring this up when interviewing culture secretary Nicky Morgan today.

And what happened next, well, blimey, just have a watch for yourself.

And it wasn’t the fact that politicians might not entirely be telling the truth that shocked people. Well, it was.
