Michael Spicer’s “Unrehearsed Voiceover Artist” is a cringeworthy delight
Since the politicians on both sides of the Atlantic have been providing him with so much inspiration, Michael Spicer has become more well-known for his “Room Next Door” sketches than for any of his other work, but it would be a tragedy to confine your viewing to those pieces alone.
This clip from 2016 manages to combine a very realistic-sounding unprepared sports commentator with some choice nuggets about the big political news of that year – a certain referendum.

“Look at those striking legs thrashing about; angry with the world. Angry with the EU referendum, maybe.”
Of course, people love his commentator as much as his frustrated political aide.
oh this is just brilliant!

Georges Berlin was so impressed by the sketch, he thought it should become standard practice.
Sports commentators should be required to know nothing at all about the sport they‘re covering.
