It’s four weeks to the UK general election, at the time of writing, and it still looks like a burning skip of crap from most angles.

The Brexit Party has pulled 317 candidates – without their prior knowledge – to avoid standing in constituencies won by Tories in 2017, and may now be sued by its own former candidates.

The Liberal Democrats are still insisting their chances are excellent, based on invented data.

The Tories and the Brexit Party are pretending the border between the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland isn’t an issue.

A leaked version of Boris Johnson’s speech accused Jeremy Corbyn of being a wanker (“political onanism”). He pulled it from the finished version.

Jacob Rees-Mogg is still in hiding after offending the Grenfell victims.
