This clip of a nesting bird versus a tractor will have you on the edge of your seat
The protective instincts of mothers is legendary, and woe betide anyone who tries to harm the offspring of an animal while she’s within striking distance, but what happens when the threat comes from a giant piece of farm machinery? Well, this:

Now, that’s fierce! Respect to the driver for managing to avoid harming her or her brood, although the fact that the tractor went anywhere near her upset a lot of people. Here are a few of the mixed reactions.
The nerve shown here. True parenting. Incredible. https://t.co/MX5ckm5qzT

The problem I have with this particular video is they obviously knew the bird was there with her eggs, and yet they intentionally terrified the poor bird to film this. That's despicable. #ProtectWildlife #ProtectAnimals https://t.co/7N11JVnyeO

So they purposely set up a camera and drove over her just to test her?

A Twitter user named @TheGrimTurtle suggested why the incident ended up on camera.
Thinking about it, a farmer must see ground nesting birds all the time.
This one takes a camera with them, so he can see from his cab when to raise his combine so as not to hit them.

Whatever the reason, it’s a thriller worthy of a David Attenborough voiceover.
