This American soldiers’ guide to ‘behaving in British pubs’ from 1943 is a fascinating watch
We’re grateful to Daniel Holland for sharing this training video given to American soldiers about to be stationed in the UK back in 1943.
A guide to British pubs presented by Burgess Meredith, it’s a fascinating glimpse into a time long, long ago.
This is a US Military training video that was shown to US soldiers in 1943 before being stationed in Britain.

You think you’ll watch it for a minute and end up staying for all eight.
Good to see Keith Richards playing the part of the man reading the newspaper. Could only have been around 65 back then.

‘Aggressively lovely’ – if ever I write a book, this is how I want it described.
