Jacob Rees-Mogg has apologised after saying it would have been ‘common sense’ for people to flee the Grenfell Tower fire and ignore official fire brigade advice.

The so-called leader of the House of Commons prompted widespread criticism from survivors, campaigners and, well, pretty much everyone.
