Kay Burley just empty chaired Tory party chairman James Cleverly and it’s glorious
Sky News were expecting Tory Party chairman James Cleverly on the Kay Burley show today but he didn’t turn up. So Kay Burley empty chaired him and it’s fair to say she went for it. She really went for it.
“And yet we have an empty chair”
Pretty devastating rundown of Tory blunders by @KayBurley while party chairman James Cleverly is 15ft away and refusing to come on air

Just beautifully done. And what they should do to every politician who fails to turn up (although that could be a lot of empty chairs on our screens …)
Just in case you wondered why Cleverly didn’t appear, then it might have something to do with the morning he’s had so far.
Campaign today
-Tory Party Chairman James Cleverly:
Apologises for Rees-Mogg
Apologises for candidate said poor people should be 'put down'

Or it might have been this.
apparently James Cleverly agreed to go on the @KayBurley show but didn’t specify a time….he got empty-chaired when he refused to go on air “at that moment”….if so….curious

Anyway, here are just a few of the things people were saying about it.
