James O’Brien absolutely nails Brexiters’ unquestioning loyalty to Boris Johnson
It’s more than three years since the UK narrowly voted to leave the EU, in a referendum marked by claims and counterclaims of misrepresentation, and even outright lies – as Basil Fawlty might say, “Don’t mention the bus.”
If anything, the divide between those who want to leave and everyone else is wider than it’s ever been, and the man who arguably predicted almost every development since the vote, James O’Brien, has talked LBC listeners through one of the most bizarre manifestations of that divide.
“People said they voted leave, so they’re going to have to defend him, or reluctantly acknowledge that he’s my man. I don’t know when this happened.”

Twitter user Vincent Keogh perfectly paraphrased James’s monologue.
Brexit is a cult. Facts are irrelevant. Believers must believe and not ask any questions.
