The takedown of this guy unhappy at the Mercury prize’s ‘severed Boris Johnson head’ deserves an award all of its own
There was a mildly controversial moment at the Mercury music prize when rapper slowthai held up the severed head of Boris Johnson.
Not the real one, a fake noggin that he picked up from the floor while yelling ‘Fuck Boris Johnson, fuck everything!’
Rapper @slowthai was nominated for his album Nothing Great About Britain, which casts a critical eye over life in modern UK https://t.co/cFQl2YPcvB

Well, quite. Except not everyone was impressed and it prompted lots of outrage on Twitter. Of course it did!
And this one in particular caught people’s attention.
Are the police involved?

Not for what they said. But for this reply.
They haven’t released an album since 1983 mate so I doubt they were up for a mercury.
