The Downing Street demonstrators weren’t shouting what we thought they were shouting
We’ve all seen the footage of Boris Johnson’s pointless speech by now, in which it sounds as though a crowd are chanting “Stop the coup” in the background. Well, Twitter favourite, composer and father of the precocious Baskerville, Mr Nick Harvey, has cleared it up a little, and now we know what they were actually shouting.
If you listen really carefully, you can actually make out what the demonstrators are chanting. pic.twitter.com/rzGe7TcQj3

Does Boris Johnson own a hairbrush? Who knows! We’re very grateful to Nick for that, and we’re pretty sure these people are too.
Excellent. ❤️ https://t.co/Vc8J68iSpL

Of course, we know it must be one hundred per cent reliable, because it’s brought to us by the man who tweeeted this:
Baskerville, my two year old, just woke up in tears.
I ran upstairs and found her sobbing in her bedroom doorway.
“Daddy,” she cried. “Boris… Boris Johnson.”
I grasped her hand.
“What, sweetie? What?”
“He’s…”
She fell to her knees.
“He’s such a fucking cunt.”
