This woman’s takedown of Amazon warehouse ‘ambassadors’ is hilarious and terrifying in equal measure
There’s been no shortage of news stories about the ‘hellish workdays’ of people who work in Amazon warehouses with employees sharing ‘horror stories’ of 60-hour weeks and timed toilet breaks.
So Amazon thought it would do something about it by going on Twitter to invite people to take a tour of their warehouses ‘to see what they are really like’.
Come take a free tour at an Amazon fulfillment center and see what our warehouses are really like. Check out the locations and reserve your spot online. #AmazonFCTours

And naturally enough, people were suspicious, deeply suspicious. Like this person, for instance.
really like? cause your workers are liars? you’re not going to convince the working class that everything is fine by telling us where to avert our eyes, we already know what it’s really like. why don’t you really treat your workers better, you can afford it
— Diana Wilde (@rulesObeyer) 14 August 2019
And it prompted the most amazing to and fro with a bunch of Amazon ‘ambassadors’ that was hilarious and terrifying in just about equal measure.
1.
Everything is fine, I don’t think there is anything wrong with the money I make or the way I am treated at work
— Dylan – Amazon FC Ambassador 📦 (@AmazonFCDylan) 14 August 2019
2.
nice try ambassador dylan lmao but you don’t speak for those who have been wronged
— Diana Wilde (@rulesObeyer) 14 August 2019
3.
(2/2)and, I personally think the managers here at my FC are all helpful basing from my experience. It’s a lot of physical work but I believe that associates are not treated less like what you think. There are good opportunities and stuffs that employees are getting.Have a GD. 🙌

4.
are you a robot, did they make a bunch of ai to lie for them instead of helping real workers
— Diana Wilde (@rulesObeyer) 14 August 2019
5.
Nope, I am not a robot mam. I was just sharing something from the FC that are all from me and my experience. That would be a crazy technology to artificialize thoughts. I am actually a picker inside the FC,(prep itms) and was given a chance to be an ambassador here in social m.

6.
how much are you compensated per tweet like this
— Diana Wilde (@rulesObeyer) 14 August 2019
7.
I don’t get compensated per tweet. I get paid $15/hr whether I am answering tweets or out on the floor stowing. I do this 2 days a week and 2 days a week I stow.
— Audra – Amazon FC Ambassador 📦 (@AmazonFCAudra) 14 August 2019
8.
so they’re paying you to tweet that you like your job, which is tweeting about liking your job
— Diana Wilde (@rulesObeyer) 14 August 2019
9.
lol nooo!! we’re not paid to say that we like our job. The FCA role is to educate others about what we do on our day to day @ amazon. Its just happened that we enjoy what we do.
— Cindi – Amazon FC Ambassador 📦 (@AmazonFCCindi) 14 August 2019
10.
lol yes!! you are paid to say that you like your job. it’s your job! but you’re not educating anyone, you’re attempting to re-educate. Amazon invested in in-house propaganda rather than bettering its lowest tier’s employees lives
— Diana Wilde (@rulesObeyer) 14 August 2019
11.
I am a tier 1 which is the lowest level employee at my building. We give our bad and good experiences at working for Amazon.
— Brittany – Amazon FC Ambassador 📦 (@AmazonFCBritt) 14 August 2019
12.
you aren’t even twitter users. these accounts dont even follow anyone lmao https://t.co/6uUVcafCwT
— Diana Wilde (@rulesObeyer) 14 August 2019
12.
It is not our job to follow anyone, its our job to share our experience as FC associates. To give everyone a firsthand look what our day to day looks like in the FC. That is it. Not to make friends, or follow people or become Twitter Famous, just to share
— Rachel J – Amazon FC Ambassador 📦 (@AmazonFCRachelJ) 14 August 2019
13.
yes, your job is to write propaganda for amazon with fake twitter accounts
— Diana Wilde (@rulesObeyer) 14 August 2019
14.
These are real accounts. Our job is give out our experiences of working for Amazon.
— Brittany – Amazon FC Ambassador 📦 (@AmazonFCBritt) 14 August 2019
15.
uh huh… and why do they need you to do that for them, ambassador brittany
