A Brexiter asked how the UK had treated Ireland badly and the replies were borderline genius
If you ever find yourself confronted by a genie or a fairy godmother, make sure that at least one of your wishes is to be granted the unerring self-confidence of the Brexiters, who never let contradictory facts get in the way of a bold statement. One such confident man is Andrew Lilico, an economist who has come to Twitter’s attention for tweeting a rambling thread about the need for national pride and for declaring that a new, post-Brexit IT system could be put in place in five minutes, amongst other things.
He recently took to Twitter to lay the blame for any upcoming problems at the feet of the EU, and singled out Ireland for a special mention.
If & when the UK does leave the EU with No Deal, that will constitute a major economic & geopolitical failure on the part of EU & Irish leaders. There's no doubt the UK wanted an FTA & to be friendly. It will eventually be seen as short-sighted madness that we were turned away.

It didn’t go down well, and he received a lot of rebuttals, including these:
You wanted it, you worked for it, you shrieked for the destruction of the Tories, Civil Service, Royal family – you wanted everything torn down just to get yr Brexit. Now you're getting it & it looks as lousy as we warned, you want to blame anyone but yourself. Hard no, sonny.

“I wanted to play golf at my club for free and automatically win every competition, even if I didn’t enter. It’s a huge failure of my club committee to deny this. There’s no doubt I wanted a friendly relationship with my club, but I shall take my utter arrogance elsewhere!”

One comment riled Lilico into a response.
The UK has treated Ireland appallingly throughout this process. The failure is entirely yours – own it

In what way?
— Andrew Lilico (@andrew_lilico) August 6, 2019
The British border, GFA commitments, International responsibility.. never part of the narrative in 2016. Even now, we have "alternative arrangements".. we have 2 words and nothing else. N.I. will be crippled, ROI less. Brexit is more important than the english empire or life.

This list of examples of the UK treating Ireland in an appalling way prompted him to ask for …examples of the UK treating Ireland in an appalling way.
And any examples of Britain treating Ireland in an "appalling" way?

He got his wish – and more.

The very posing of the question is evidence of such sweeping ignorance & colonial entitlement that it answers itself.

How about 900 years of illegal occupatiogn murder, rape, pillaging, starvation and forced relocation of its inhabitants through transportation and robbing the food from the country and the land grabbing by planters. We'll leave it there for now
