This mum really doesn’t believe her kid’s where she says she is and it’ll strike a chord with parents and teens everywhere
This exchange between a mum and her daughter shared on Twitter will strike a chord with parents of teenagers (and their teenagers) everywhere.
Kaelyn Demmon said it was “safe to say my mum doesn’t trust me” and it appears she has a point after she posted the lengths to which her mother goes to make sure she really is where she says she is.

And here are just a few of the responses it prompted.

I remember my mom wouldn’t let me have a cell phone. She said “You will look like a drug dealer.” #overbearingparents #yesmother

Not everyone appreciated it though, and it prompted a lively debate. Well it IS Twitter.
That’s crappy that your mom is like this. 😩

Making sure her daughter is safe? Naw, it’s good.

The young woman drives… There’s a point in one’s life when you must trust your nearly-adult teenager. Saying “before you lie” is crappy.

I gotcha, understood. But as a mother, I’d rather be THAT mom, than the mom who loses a kid. But truly, I get you. <3

I get it. I don’t think parents ever stop worrying but she’s a high school graduate. 😛 I think a simple text would be appropriate. 😉

True… but rational logic does not satisfy mom logic! If you’re a mom, then you’re cooler than me, but if not… just wait. 😉 Take care <3

Would probably get a bit tiring if she did it every single time you went out though.
