Famous movie dance scenes set to different songs are our new favourite distraction

We’ve all done that thing where you look at a clip on the internet, only to spot something linked to it that you just can’t resist, and then another and another; before you know it, it’s three days later and you’ve forgotten to eat, sleep or go to work. Well, maybe not quite that bad. One such thing is solely the responsibility of DJ Lewis Wake, who has been taking famous dance scenes from films, and finding the perfect song to swap in as a new soundtrack.

This is what we first spotted – and we have to warn you that it’s a gateway drug to harder music.

It couldn’t fit better if Hugh Grant had actually been dancing to it in the film. Of course, it’s a thread, so it would be rude to stop at one, right? Here are a eleven favourites from the many Lewis has completed.
