Boris Johnson’s cabinet reshuffle was like an episode of Game of Thrones – our 23 favourite reactions
Boris Johnson has finally achieved his goal of becoming the UK’s Prime Minister and he’s started his time in office with a slash and burn policy towards the cabinet. The last time so many familiar characters were dealt with this brutally was at the Red Wedding.

Some comments were quite general.
Boris Johnson’s cabinet will be more of a cupboard. And full of skeletons.

Never mind the Home Office, I wouldn't put Priti Patel in charge of a Home Bargains.

Think what you like about Priti Patel but she'll be the first Home Secretary in over a century to have advocated threatening Ireland with food shortages. Whatever way you look at it, that's inspiring.
