The new 007 is a woman and a lot of men are shaken and stirred
You’ll note from the heading of this piece that the new 007 is a woman – Lashana Lynch, to be exact – not the new James Bond. With Fleabag and Killing Eve writer, Phoebe Waller-Bridge on the team, we have a good feeling about this.
The character is in fact James Bond’s replacement at MI6, rather than an attempt to regender the classic spy, but that hasn’t stopped a certain kind of man on the internet from freaking out. They’ve only just stopped shaking because of Captain Marvel, so it must be quite traumatic for them.
You can probably guess the kinds of things being said, but you don’t need to because here they are.
James Bond should only be a man and white, thats the originality of the character. Feminists, social justice warriors & political correctors need to back off from orignal content and starting making their own.. which seems V. unlikely in this ❄️ generation!

I'm all for gender equality that's missing so much nowadays but some things just don't work, like a black female 007. Especially as vehicles of social justice warrior-ing. So no one should be surprised if the #Bond franchise after #Bond25 suffers a big ticket loss
