Former pop star, David Van Day had hits with duo Dollar in the 80s and was part of an attempted reboot of Bucks Fizz in the 90s, but these days spends his time on celebrity daytime TV shows or practising small-scale politics for the Tory Party. In the run-up to the selection of the UK’s next prime minister, Van Day made this very Partridge-like video in support of his favourite candidate.
