Donald Trump had a Twitter meltdown about the UK and these 13 takedowns are brutal
Donald Trump takes criticism about as well as a three-year-old takes being told it’s bedtime, so he’s been in full-on meltdown mode since learning that the UK Ambassador to the US, Kim Darroch, had made very unflattering comments about him.
In memos contained in emails which were leaked to the Mail, Sir Kim had said:
“We don’t really believe this administration is going to become substantially more normal; less dysfunctional; less unpredictable; less faction riven; less diplomatically clumsy and inept.”
All of which seems pretty accurate, but was clearly never intended to come to the President’s attention. Of course, Trump responded petulantly via Twitter …almost as though he were diplomatically clumsy and inept.
The wacky Ambassador that the U.K. foisted upon the United States is not someone we are thrilled with, a very stupid guy. He should speak to his country, and Prime Minister May, about their failed Brexit negotiation, and not be upset with my criticism of how badly it was…

…handled. I told @theresa_may how to do that deal, but she went her own foolish way-was unable to get it done. A disaster! I don’t know the Ambassador but have been told he is a pompous fool. Tell him the USA now has the best Economy & Military anywhere in the World, by far…

While we wait for him to become “substantially more normal”, let’s look at how people have been reacting to the undiplomatic rebuke.

Wow. Sociopathic autocrats sure can turn against you in spite of you constantly appeasing them. Gee, I wish history had taught us that.

I'm starting to think that lavishing the full state honours on a deranged nationalist bully might have been a mistake.

Some "special relationship". This is just abuse. If you are British and this excites you, you might have misplaced your spine. https://t.co/NCxqyDzxVh
