Donald Trump said Americans “took over the airports” in the 1770s – 13 hilarious clapbacks
Donald Trump got his dearest wish on the 4th of July – no, he didn’t install a branch of McDonald’s in the White House – he had a show of military might for his Independence Day parade. He had been coveting such a thing since seeing a similar event for Bastille Day when visiting France, and his bromance with Kim Jong-un probably ramped up his determination.
After watching tanks roll on the streets of Washington and airforce jets zoom overhead, he stood at the Lincoln Memorial and gave his presidential address, which – in proper Trump style – was absolute nonsense.
"…our army manned the amports (?), it rammed the ramparts, it took over the airports…"
Trump slurring and then trying to read off a TelePrompTer about the Continental Army supposedly taking over the airports in 1781 is…no words. #TrumpSpeech pic.twitter.com/83Tv6vsN8x

Lincoln must have been turning in his grave. There followed a veritable parade of pisstakes:

See, the way it worked with Logan Airport, at least, was after the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the Continental Army marched up Rte 2 to Boston Common, walked the Freedom Trail to Gov't Station, then took the Blue Line to the airport. British didn't see this coming at all. https://t.co/p9wA065RVq
