You might not spend a better two minutes today, Newsnight’s Emily Maitlis taking Brexit Party MEP Brian Monteith to task over, well, over pretty much everything.

He is the epitome of what the Brexit party is all about. Totally without shame, no plan, no roadmap just sheer unadulterated Farage infatuation. The French would be better off without him leeching off them.

Not everyone agreed though, as you’d expect.

The Brexit Party MEPs are doing just what we voted for. They should take all their salary, all their allowances and use those in the pursuit of Brexit.

I voted Leave, I live part of the year in Paris (with my highly eurosceptic French wife). The two things are not related.
