Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party rally might be the weirdest and most disturbing thing you see this week – 5 favourite replies
Nigel Farage unveiled his Brexit party’s first 100 general election candidates at a rally in Birmingham at the weekend.
Around 5,000 people turned up to the ‘Big Vision Rally’ which generated a lot of attention not because of the quality of the candidates, obviously.
It was the way Farage entered the rally which some people thought was a little … inappropriate. Have a watch for yourself.

Here are the only 5 responses you need.
Nigel Farage literally entered the NEC to the sound of air raid sirens…in a blackout. It's bizarre wartime cosplay. https://t.co/ZEJfNIzhN3

A Blitz themed club night for pensioners born after the war, DJ’d by an Oswald Moseley pastiche.

Don’t mean to question your judgement, brexit party supporters, but maybe when a racist who spoke at far right rallies in Germany arrives on stage grinning from ear to ear to the sound of air raid sirens, maybe cheering shouldn’t be your go to reaction? pic.twitter.com/cKk6E1Lwc1

Using a WW2 air siren as opening music at a political party conference is disgusting and fuck anyone who voted for this party https://t.co/rG5i3EkwOY

Fascism: now with glowsticks.

Except, well, maybe it was actually entirely appropriate.
Still in a way it’s rather apt. Air raid sirens herald the imminent arrival of needless destruction. Maybe they should be played every time Farage is about to speak.
