It cost £20K for Prince Charles’ train journey and everybody made the same joke – our 12 favourites
The Keeper of the Privy Purse – which is a less smelly job than it sounds – has revealed the finances for the Royals for the last year, and among the costs was Prince Charles’ train journey from London to Port Talbot, which cost the taxpayer £20,000. He could have got the Megabus to Swansea and a taxi to Port Talbot for thirty quid.
A lot of people on Twitter made – basically – the same joke.
