An old Boris Johnson quote might just explain his car-crash interviews

While we’ve all been laughing at Boris Johnson for his extremely odd assertion that he makes buses from old crates as a hobby, we may have overlooked the possibility that it’s part of a very definite strategy. A clip from a six-year-old article shows how he distracts attention from things he wants kept out of the headlines.

So, does this mean that his wine-crate buses are the dead cat he’s lobbed onto the table to make us all forget about his row with Carrie Symons, or was his row with Carrie Symonds the dead cat meant to distract us from the fact that he doesn’t know how to sort Brexit?

This is how people have reacted to Adam Bienkov‘s reminder.

If you were in any doubt as to how well this strategy works, stand-up comedian Beth Black pointed out how his latest dead cat has disrupted an important bit of Johnson data on the internet.

Sky’s political editor, Beth Rigby, had been onto him all along.

Now, can somebody go and check on Larry?
