An old Boris Johnson quote might just explain his car-crash interviews
While we’ve all been laughing at Boris Johnson for his extremely odd assertion that he makes buses from old crates as a hobby, we may have overlooked the possibility that it’s part of a very definite strategy. A clip from a six-year-old article shows how he distracts attention from things he wants kept out of the headlines.

So, does this mean that his wine-crate buses are the dead cat he’s lobbed onto the table to make us all forget about his row with Carrie Symons, or was his row with Carrie Symonds the dead cat meant to distract us from the fact that he doesn’t know how to sort Brexit?
This is how people have reacted to Adam Bienkov‘s reminder.
Below – and so many now tweeting about painted buses. The tactic works. https://t.co/KsQygcU9Go

In this scenario, the 'I make cardboard buses' thing was the dead cat, meant to draw attention away from 'my girlfriend shouted at me to get off her and the police were called'. He's moved from scumbag to 'madman in the corner with the safety scissors and the glitter.' Result. https://t.co/JeBfD2Z8VC

And in this instance, the dead cat is a bus box. https://t.co/5GzVo9Ybdr

So it was the cat screaming get off me then?

If you were in any doubt as to how well this strategy works, stand-up comedian Beth Black pointed out how his latest dead cat has disrupted an important bit of Johnson data on the internet.
24 hours ago, if you Googled “Boris Bus” or checked out a #BorisBus hashtag you’d get the photo of him in front of the bus with the “We give £350m per week to the EU, Let’s spend that on the NHS” lie on it.

Sky’s political editor, Beth Rigby, had been onto him all along.
This is a dead cat (actually more kitten) Don’t let it distract from the key Q. HOW does Johnson propose to leave on Oct 31 w No Deal. What is the route through parliament & what is the economic fall out https://t.co/ETO6rkDift

Now, can somebody go and check on Larry?
