Brexit Party MEP Annunziata Rees-Mogg complained about being given an iPad by the European Parliament – 8 favourite takedowns
The newly-elected MEPs from Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party have been arriving at the European Parliament and tweeting about what they have found.
A video from the party’s official Twitter account featured some of their number talking about how ‘shocked’ they are by what they have found. Like a car park full of cars, that kind of thing.
One Brexit Party MEP, Annunziata Rees-Mogg – sister of Jacob – tweeted to say she had been given a ‘shiny new iPad’ by the European Parliament ‘for no obvious reason’.

I have a min 6 hour commute. Last trip home took 9. I’ll do it every week. Things like car pick-up at station/airport and an iPad preloaded with the secure apps you need to be able to function here are simply tools to make what is, and should be, an all-consuming job easier.

Err … You get an ipad to help you do your job as an MEP. Most firms do the same. If everyone in the EU works with the same system, it is easier to pass information through tailored apps. It's to do with efficiency. Your moaning and bitching really os pathetic.

I was part of the team that led the roll out of iPads at the UK Parliament. Our work showed these have a significantly lower cost for delivery of order papers, as well as enabling members to work more efficiently.
