The ‘helpful’ advice how this 31 y/o paid off his student loan will have you facepalming into next week

We’re a sucker for any advice which might help us save a little money here and there, so long as it doesn’t involve cutting back on anything we actually enjoy doing.

And there’s quite a market out there for hints and tips how to pay off the giant debts you will inevitably have incurred by the time you’re [insert your age here].

Some advice is more helpful than others. This, shared on Twitter by Ivan Brandon, is of the ‘others’ variety.

If we had a pound for every person who retweeted it, eh? And just in case that’s tricky to read, here are the salient points.
