This clip of Rik Mayall as Alan B’Stard went viral because it’s basically all the Tory leadership candidates
It’s five years since the great Rik Mayall died and lots of people have been sharing tributes and memories on Twitter.
One clip in particular got lots of attention because it’s basically, well, over to James Melville who shared the video on Twitter.
‘Rik Mayall died 5 years ago today. His portrayal of Tory MP Alan B’Stard was spookily prophetic. Many of the Tory leadership candidates appear to be mimicking him – both in terms of mannerisms and rhetoric.
#RikMayall RIP.’
And they do, they really do.
