The Irish PM politely telling Donald Trump he’s talking bollocks is today’s favourite thing
This clip of Donald Trump talking with Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar went viral because it confirms exactly how much Donald Trump understands about stuff he pretends to know about.
Which is nothing, obviously.
It’s not just Trump’s ignorance that makes it so great (terrifying), it’s the way Leo Varadkar puts him right, which manages to be incredibly polite and utterly brutal at the same time.
Trump On Brexit: “It will work out well, with your wall, your border. We have a border situation in the US & you have one over here. But I here it’s going to work out very well.
Varadkar turns to Trump: The main point is that, we want to avoid a border.

10/10.
Ok how do I put this. So some people in the world, aren’t a fan of building walls, or reinstating borders. Because well history. Also wars, exclusion, even the preservation of peace for some nations. #TrumpInIreland

You couldn’t script it. If it wasn’t so disturbing, he’d be comedic gold! David Brent-esque

The moment greeted with facepalms across Ireland.
