Donald Trump didn’t wait to land in the UK to begin the name-calling – he fired off a few tweets about London mayor Sadiq Khan just as Air Force One was about to touch down at Stansted.

.@SadiqKhan, who by all accounts has done a terrible job as Mayor of London, has been foolishly “nasty” to the visiting President of the United States, by far the most important ally of the United Kingdom. He is a stone cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me……

Probably has something to do with Khan – or ‘Kahn’, if you’re the so-called president of the United States – saying Trump is like a 20th century fascist who should not be given a state visit to the UK.
