Piers Morgan leapt to the defence of Jeremy Kyle – 9 favourite replies
To be filed under ‘with friends like these …’ comes Piers Morgan defending Jeremy Kyle after ITV’s decision to axe the Jeremy Kyle Show following the death of a guest who took part in a recording of the show.
As everyone piles on Jeremy Kyle, I'd like to say he's a great guy, an excellent broadcaster, and hugely popular with the vast majority of people who watched & appeared (voluntarily) on his top-rated show. So much snobbery & hypocrisy being spewed by his critics. pic.twitter.com/d9ZhTGjWaT

It’s not snobbery, the show was disgusting, he spent the hour mocking and talking down to the guests. Whether you voluntarily went on there is irrelevant, the way you were spoke to and belittled when there was not acceptable.

It comes as no small surprise that you would defend him. You have a similar truculent, perverse journalistic style which, if I am not mistaken, many people abhor. The world would be a better place with both of you permanently off the air #hush #longwalkshortpier

Why doesn't he just man up, take the bull by the horns and get a grip? After all that's what mental health experts (you) suggest in times of crisis

Jeremy Kyle made fortunes out of parading other peoples misery and weakness. He pandered to a whole tier of society who drew titillation from human tragedy and despair.
The man is nothing but a vile ghoul. The fact Piers Morgan is defending him says it all.
