Bill Nye the Science Guy explained climate change – and he’s not f_cking about (NSFW)
A lot of Americans grew up watching Bill Nye the Science guy explain scientific topics in a fun way, with ball pits, wind tunnels and a jovial attitude. Even on this side of the Atlantic, his reputation is that of a kind of Johnny Ball with a bow-tie.
Well, that’s all over now, because his piece on climate change pricing for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver is a sweary rant, emphasizing how seriously he thinks people should be taking the subject.
People loved it – but some were a little bit shocked.

It was sweary, but not too sweary.
Many thanks to the fantastic @BillNye for explaining Carbon Pricing to us with an entirely appropriate amount of profanity.

“By the end of this century, if emissions keep rising, the average temperature on Earth could go up another four to eight degrees. What I’m saying is the planet is on fucking fire.”
