This clip of two teenagers trying to work an old phone is just brilliant (and will make you feel ancient)
Just in case you weren’t feeling old enough already, along comes this, a wonderful video of two teenage boys given the surprise task of trying to make a call on an old-style phone.
Here’s how they got along.

That they keep picking up/hanging up the phone for no reason is really best part of this.

I thought I was ready to watch this. I was not ready https://t.co/iHgd3U3dcv

"How do you restart it?"

And we liked this comeback on behalf of young people everywhere.
What this video doesn’t show is that they had to show him how to upload the video.

Is it really that difficult?
I mean let's be honest, the user interface for a rotary telephone isn't all that intuitive.
— Thorin Jacobs (@JacobsThorin) May 9, 2019
It’s pretty clear how it works
— Startup Card* B (@startupbardi) May 10, 2019
It’s really not. For the record, I’m about ten years older than these guys and have never once seen anyone use a rotary phone. The reason technology like that gets replaced and becomes obsolete is *because* it’s not intuitive and there’s better ways to do things.
— Brian J. Dolan (@bdolan01) May 10, 2019
No, that's not the reason the rotary phone was replaced. At a risk of dating myself, I was half these guys' age when I was fluent using it, and at that time, whether it was unintuitive was irrelevant … because it's pretty darn easy to *learn* if shown. Intuition wasn't needed.

The definition of intuitive is that you don’t need to be shown lol
