Somebody tried to pass this off as a vegan lasagna – but it’s just not

Most of us will have had a delicious lasagna at some point, and those of you who haven’t need to get right on that at the first opportunity. It’s usually made from sheets of pasta, layered with sauce, meat, vegetables and a bit of cheese on the top, so the vegan version would swerve the meat and have vegan cheese substitute on the top, right? Not according to a coworker of @AristaFbabi.

Because this isn’t the BBC and we don’t have to maintain a strict impartiality policy, I’m going to come right out with it and say that that’s not lasagna, it’s a salad – a very neat salad, but still essentially a salad.

Most people agreed with that assessment.

One Twitter user felt it was neither lasagna nor salad.

Whatever it was, it got people talking.

Writer Tweetgood Mac had a suggestion for handling the matter.

But fellow writer Matt Walsh came to a more draconian conclusion.

That’s going to lose him the green vote.
