Arron Banks overstated the support for Brexit from small businesses and got schooled
Arron Banks isn’t the kind of man to worry too much about facts when he’s on a mission, as he admitted when questioned by a parliamentary select committee looking into allegations – later proved – of the use of fake news by the Leave campaign.
“We certainly weren’t above leading journalists up the country path, making fun of them; same with politicians.”
He must have been “making fun” when he posted this response to pro-Remain MP, Nicky Morgan …
Small business owners are nearly all pro Brexit … oh dear ! https://t.co/UCmahrRGFQ

It’s all very well making these claims in TV interviews where few pull you up on them, but not on Twitter, mate.
Small-business owners refuted the claim.
No we're not. No one at our Chamber of Commerce thought it was a good idea either. Certainly not any of my clients who have lost business over the past 3 years. Not the small business consultants that immediately lost their revenue after the vote and went out of business.

Just signing in as a small business owner whose businesses have been put at risk by your lies, who totally rejects you and everything you stand for, and who would be delighted if there was another referendum.
I'll also be delighted when you are a spherical political footnote.

Most small business owners are worried sick about Brexit, the business they're already losing, the extra complications and paperwork it will involve, the ability to hire the best staff.

Arron Banks in making something up shocker.
Presumably you'll be providing evidence?

Most conclusive of all, actor, writer and anti-Brexit campaigner, Alex Andreou presented him with his arch-Nemesis – facts.
48% of SMEs predict no deal Brexit will have negative effect; 10% positive (FSB 18 Sep 2018)
8% of SMEs predict Brexit will be positive; 76% feel unsupported (SBmag 18 Apr 2019)
63% of small biz owners in favour of another referendum; 27% against (FreeA 16 Jan 2019)STOP LYING. https://t.co/CoZBuEz5l4

There’s been no rebuttal as yet. Presumably, he’s doing some in-depth research so his reply is factually accurate.
