I remember one day I was with my four lads.
One started the very worst nose bleed ever!!
A lady literally ran across the food court with a massive pile of tissues, whilst her disabled hubby fetched ice from McD.
We sorted him out.
So glad I gave them both a hug!

Got a bus thinking it went as far as a certain stop. It didn't. The bus driver took us there anyway + then gave my son €1 for an ice cream.

Lost a camera at Glastonbury about 10 years ago. Noticed it was lost on the Wednesday afternoon. On the Sunday a young lad approached us with the camera. He recognised us from photos on camera and had spent 5 days looking for us to give camera back

Talked me down from suicide. Spoke to me for over 2 hours about god knows what, but allowed me to be heard without judgement. That was a beautiful, kind, caring person. A complete stranger who helped save me

Riding bike on towpath; freezing winter morning. Brakes seized up due to cold. Passer-by unfroze them by pouring cup of tea they were carrying over brake discs. A very British sacrifice

When I was a student and going through a rough time, the owner of the greengrocer's, a very kind old man, put some veg and fruit on the counter, got out his cutting board, cut the veg, then put it all in a bag and told me to make a nice stew to make me feel better. For free.

Freezing weather, snow on ground, getting petrol, hands very cold (no gloves). Wiping snow off windscreen my Nana 's ring flew off my finger and landed…somewhere. A man came to help me rake through the snow and slush, then a woman. She found it and I couldn't speak for crying.

An elderly lady watching me when I was in my twenties struggling in the supermarket with my son who had Cerebral Palsy and his sister who was a baby then. She walked up to me, help my hand and said “you’re doing a great job” then walked away, made my day!

It’s a bit grim but when I was homeless some drunken idiots, not sure exactly how many, thought it would be hilarious to ‘set about the tramp’. A guy & his girlfriend confronted them, stopped them & made sure I was ok. It’s an outrageously dangerous thing to do. Quality people.

I’m 6’3” tall. One day, this beautiful Japanese lady offered me to share her umbrella in the rain. She was about 5’0”. I was dressed in 3pc suit, her in denims.
Awkward, in that British way, trying not to huddle too close – my back still got drenched — but what a lovely gesture— the Bumpkin Poet returns (@packagingman) April 13, 2019

Aged 10, I was very upset at being prescribed glasses, and refused to wear them in class. My teacher, a lovely man called Mr Stamp, started wearing specs with plain glass in to encourage me to wear mine. There were 48 kids in class but he cared about a shy little girl. So kind.

When i first spoke about my mental health problems on twitter lots of strangers helped me, shared stories and information and I wouldn't be where I am now if they hadn't.

Voiceover artist, Cromerty York‘s kind deed wasn’t even performed by a human.
My 18m daughter was getting grumpy at the zoo so we went to see the orangutans. The eldest female saw her grizzling, went off to get some grass, chewed it up and offered it to her.
