15+ hilariously NSFW lost-in-translation signs
It’s inevitable that some perfectly innocent words might sound a bit rude in another language. The German word for “trip” is “fahrt”, in Sweden, “finish” is “slutspurt”, and the Dutch for “can” is “kunt”, which is why you should always use your headphones to do your five minutes of Duolingo on the bus. However, these shops are loud and proud about their apparently NSFW names, because they’re all in non-English-speaking countries, so they’re not nearly as rude as they look – we hope.
It all started when composer, Nick Harvey – who is currently in Hong Kong to appear in ‘Bug Symphony’, a kids’ musical he also wrote – posted this interesting shot.

But the staff are so rude. I once knocked one out in there.

As it turns out, loads of other people had seen similarly lost-in-translation things, and they were absolutely glorious.
