Dominic Raab blocked James O’Brien after he killed him with his own words – 9 favourite reactions
You’ve got to have a thick skin if you are going to survive in politics, even thicker if you have pretensions to be in government or – who knows? – even be prime minister one day.
Just ask Dominic Raab, who was so pleased with what he had to say on LBC about one of the station’s presenters, James O’Brien, that he shared it on Twitter.

Raab, in case you didn’t know, is rather keener on leaving the European Union than O’Brien.
Anyway, O’Brien watched this and thought something along the lines of, anything Raab can do, he can do 10 times as well. So he did.

Killed him with his own words, basically.
And you’ll never guess how Raab responded. Actually, you probably will.
Always flattered to be targeted by the Looney Left, James, but you can take your anti-Brexit rants and your student politics elsewhere – you’re blocked.

No wonder he did so well negotiating with the EU.
This is the perfect, and horribly predictable, conclusion to my little film of things @DomincRaab has said on the record and in public. pic.twitter.com/FeiUIU6jr8

And here are our favourite 9 takes on that.
1.
Is mimsily blocking someone for addressing your own quotes the behaviour of a would-be prime minister? Yes, judges Dominic Raab. Do adjust your records accordingly. https://t.co/u1odNiGkKf

2.
You know how to block on Twitter but struggle with the importance of the Dover to Calais crossing? 😂😂😂

3.
How dare James O'Brien point out the things Dominic Raab actually said dismissing human rights and the struggles of the disabled and his lies about food banks with clips and actual evidence. No wonder Raab blocked him. https://t.co/CuzNeMS33K

4.
You are an elected politician, failing to engage with someone asking you legitimate questions. And your only tactic is to block? There might be lots who agree with you, but there are lots who don’t. Is your plan just to ignore them and make them go away?

He held up a mirror. That’s literally all he did.

Wannabe PM @DominicRaab has spat the dummy and pompously blocked O'Brien for … em, picking apart some of wannabe PM Dominic Raab's weird, ill-informed and occasionally downright cruel public utterances. What. A. Child. https://t.co/91hIfRNtCR

7.
After blocking @mrjamesob simply for quoting his own words back to him, Dominic went round the house smashing all the mirrors. He is now masturbating in a quiet corner. https://t.co/lArqQCRuvE

Better block yourself too, Mr Raab. If you can’t handle your own stupidity & dishonesty reflected back

Apparently quoting the actual words of @DominicRaab now equates to "targeting" him.

And was O’Brien going to let it lie? Of course he wasn’t.
This is the collection of @DominicRaab quotes that he has blocked me for broadcasting. It would be very childish if you were to retweet the original tweet below with, say, his twitter handle attached. Very childish. Pathetic, in fact. https://t.co/nqSxBq4YeQ

To conclude …
Amazing. He just can’t stop giving you material.

This one will run and run.
